Miraphone 183 Eb Tuba circa 1990. Almost new condition, gold lacquer is almost flawless. Two owners, previous and myself have even wiped off fingerprints or used a cloth to prevent tarnish. It has four rotary valves. All slides and valves move freely. Comes with hard case(with wheels) and a mouthpiece. I am located in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. Price reduced to $2400. The horn plays beautifully, I have chosen to part with it simply because I primarily play CC and could use the money for student loans. Please email me with any questions!

If I had the money I'd buy it just to have an Eb. Gorgeous horn. No idea why it hasn't sold. Good luck! Keep it for a while longer and I may buy it.

Please post some dimensions: bell diameter, bore. What makes this a good Eb? 4 valves, for sure. How's the intonation, and especially, fatness of sound in the contrabass range (F down to Bb).

Here are some specs
.708 = 18mm bore size
Bell diameter: 15.00"
Length (bell to bottom bow): 40.25"
Using the fourth valve is a must. With the fourth valve the intonation is actually pretty good. I found that with a bobo solo mouthpiece the low register sings out nice and big. The shallow mouthpiece it came with was not as good for low register playing.
