Hi All
I've got a raw brass Miraphone 1293 for sale, which comes with a Miraphone hard case and leather Cronkhite gig bag.
I first posted this for sale three years ago, the horn is now four years old, and never really got round to trying to sell it properly, mainly because in that time we've had two kids and are only just starting to get some sleep!
To recap on what I posted back then, this is Miraphone's 5/4 compact CC tuba, that has a huge low end, a cracking sound and great build quality. I chose it from 3 (maybe 4) at the factory and kept it in raw brass on the advice of Markus Theinert. I've played a few others of these, most notably with Roger Lewis, and the raw brass does seem to have a darker sound, but that's only my opinion.
It's really not been played in the last three years, I've used my trusty Besson 981, and although this is a versatile instrument, it's a little large for most of the groups that I play in these days. Because of this, the tuba is still in mint condition, there are two tiny stand dings, that I can't even get the camera to pick up, and the cases have only been used a handful of times.
There's also a second tuning slide (for 443Hz) that the factory made for me, and it comes with the two detachable lead pipes.
The price is $8400 (OBO) for the lot, with the buyer paying shipping. Pictures at the link below.

Now for the can of worms- I would rather sell this tuba, but, would be interested in trading for a MW 2000 (I realise this may involve more cash from me) or some other suitably amazing 4/4 CC piston tuba. I could still use a smaller CC tuba for the work I do.
Thanks for looking!
