Meinl Weston 2182/2 F Tuba:
This is a very unique 2182, prototype originally owned by Warren Deck hand built by Meinl Weston. Truly a fantastic F tuba with a lot of color! It has served me very well over the past few years. The horn comes with a MW gig bag, Alan Baer PVAK (already on the valves), and 3 interchangeable leadpipes. These leadpipes were built by Carl Kleinsteuber at the Univ. of North Texas repair shop and the tuba now has a small, medium, and large leadpipe that can easily be changed at anytime. I've found the larger leadpipe really beefs up the sound, and gives this ax a little more horsepower in the low register! Also, the tuba was last chem cleaned this past January. I'm selling this tuba because I would like to move to a larger F. I would hold onto to this horn if I had the $$$ to have both. The tuba is located in Denton TX and I'm asking $7,000 for everything.
