FS: St. Petersburg 209N CC
I am selling my St. Petersburg 209N CC 5 rotary valve tuba and hard case. I purchased the horn new in 2011 from The Tuba Exchange. It has served me well over the past few years but I no longer need the second tuba. Currently the horn is located in Indiana and I am more than willing to drive to meet up for testings. Price is $3000.
Horn Info:
I have been playing this horn since the beginning of my studies and it has served me very well. I have done both chamber and orchestral work on this tuba and it feels very comfortable within almost all venues. The great projection you can get out of the instrument really helps smaller 4/4 size. I used this horn for solo's prior to getting my F tuba and it sounded great. The upper register is really open and sings with an excellent sound. It is a real all purpose horn in an affordable price range. There are a few intonation quirks, but nothing that can't be worked around with minor adjustments.
Horn has only 3 very minor dents, none of which impact the sound even remotely. I would put the finish at about 95%.

Is the 209 CC roughly the same size as the 202 BBb?

Hey!
If you want a more direct response or a faster communication stream feel free to email, text or call!
I'm selling this horn because of the size mainly. The projection, sound quality and intonation are great. I used this horn through college and didn't notice any quirks other than an odd note that needed lipping. Again, my primary motivation for switching was purely size. Quirks differ from player to player so feel free to try it out anytime!
I'll be honest, I've never played the BBb version so I can't give to much input!
