I am selling my Gemeinhardt Eb tuba that I have had for the past few years. I am not using it enough to justify keeping it with my other horns. Issues include some minor dents and the silver is worn off in a few places. The horn is currently in South TX. I'm asking $2100 shipped via greyhound. These horns are over $5000 new. These horns have been vouched for on this forum by several professional musicians and fantastic educators. Comes with a well-used gig bag and a hard plastic case with wheels. The horn will be fully serviced and cleaned before shipping.

What is that orange band on the 5th valve? looks sorta like a rubber band.

That IS a rubberband that is part of the dependent 5th valve mechanism
on Gemeinhardt and later Big Mouth Brass tubas.

Yes sir, a band is used for the fifth valve, as it is on all the 5-valve horns from BMB. I've never had one pop on me, and I do like being able to use a thicker rubberband to ensure a fast return on the valve.

IS there indeed a new price?

Need to clarify the current price you have on the tuba. Also how much would it cost for shipping to Concord NC 28025?
