I've had this tuba for a few years, and it was only 2 years old when purchased. I bought it in hopes of getting back into playing, but I simply do not have the time to commit to it; this beautiful horn is just sitting there. I hate to get rid of it, but it's designed to be enjoyed! It's a free playing horn in all registers. This horn has been barely used, even before I purchased it. It does have a small ding in the bell that you cannot see, but it does not affect the sound of the horn whatsoever. This tuba has 100% lacquer, and the sound is dark and rich. It's nimble enough to play in a chamber group but large enough to hold its own in a full ensemble.
Here is a video of a Meinl Weston 2145 in action: (this is not me playing).
