I have played both of these Yamaha BBbs, and they are both very fine examples of this model of tuba.
I believe that both horns had the lead pipe removed from the bell which enhanced resonance and response dramatically. The only difference now being the brighter sound of the silver verses the darker color of the lacquer one. No matter which one you choose, you'll have a wonderful, small BBb, suitable for almost any situation.

This silver YBB-621S is still available with five declared watchers and (judging by frequency of visits to this listing) about ten anonymous watchers.
The lacquer YBB-621 (same year, same quality) sold yesterday for $4250.
