WTB: F tuba

I may be in the market for an F tuba real soon. I'm looking for a tuba in the $4000-$5000 price range. I guess that would limit me to something like a PT10, MW 45 (slp, slz, s or the like), or Miraphone 181. If anyone is selling a MW 2182, I would be interested in that as well. Five or six valves, pistons or rotors, silver or lacquer, it doesn't matter. I'm not limited to the brands I listed, these are just the horns I am somewhat familiar with and seen to be in my price range. Buyer willing to allow for a trial period upon receipt of full payment would be a big +. Let me know what's out there. Thanks.

Hi Jim,

You might want to check out Tim Olt's MW 45SLP listed at: viewtopic.php?t=5831.

This is a very good F and I have heard Tim use it quite a few times with both the Lima Symphony Orchestra and in his faculty recitals at Bowling Green State University where he is visiting professor of Tuba & Euphonium. It has a Dillon AGR and I believe he is asking $4K including a gig bag.

Tim's e-mail is: TubaMan246@aol.com

Good Luck,
Paul

Sounds like I have exactly what you want. viewtopic.php?t=6352

I sent you an e-mail. I would be happy to do the trail period with payment plus shipping.
