Up for sale is this Besson Imperial/New Standard, a fully compensating large BBb bass in the style of the British Brass Band tradition. It has been recently serviced and chem cleaned by a local technician in Houston TX. Plays evenly through the registers. Would be a welcome addition to your local brass band bass section! Selling because it hasn't been played much at all in the past couple years and should be getting used! Asking $1,800 plus shipping via Greyhound freight. I'd say that was an Imperial/NewStandard.. the 992 had a straight leadpipe and the normal rounded valve tops (those are New Standard 'castle' ones).

I was not 100% sure about the exact model of this beast. I thought the false slide for hand grip was a sign that made it a 992. Thanks a lot for the clarification Andy! Bump!
