SOLD. Willson 3050S 5/4 CC Tuba (5 valve, front action)

Greetings everyone!

I posted this horn for sale a few months ago, but due to some personal issues had to take it off the market. Now that things have normalized I have decided to put it up for sale. I have played on this horn since being a senior in high school and it has served me well through music school and playing with semi-professional groups, but it is time to move forward and out of music.

The tuba is a Willson 3050S 5/4 CC tuba (5 valve, front action) and is silver plated. I will be completely honest and frank up front- It is in need of some TLC that I was unable/too busy/unwilling to provide. The horn has a few dents in the main bow, one ding in the bell from an errant mouthpiece, but as with most I'm sure it would blow even easier should they be removed. The leadpipe has had some work done as it was damaged by a door. The pearls on the valve caps need replaced and in general the horn could definitely use a good cleaning, polish, oiling, and greasing. Again, I just never had/took the time to take care of it the way I should.

I will also toss in my gig bag. I think it's a Cronkhite? I honestly don't remember and there are no identifying marks on the outside. The bag itself is in very good condition, except for a little damage to the zipper on one end. Again, this just falls on me not taking the time to get it taken care of.

Having said all that...it's a great horn and plays really well. I'm sure I'm underselling it completely but it is what it is. Happy to send pictures if interested, it is not nearly as beat up as I'm making it out to be.

I'm asking $6500 and is available for pick up in the central Ohio area. I am also open to driving (within reason) to meet/drop off for the buyer. Shipping may be available and those details/prices will be worked out between me and the buyer. I am willing/open to listen to any reasonable offers and would even entertain a cash plus trade for a smaller horn.
