For sale I have a really nice older Rudy 3/4. Mechanically the horn is in great condition. Lacquer is pretty worn in parts across the tuba - but the wear and scratches seem to be consistent with other 3/4s I've seen from this era. The tuba is remarkably free of dents and has a big dark sound and the pitch is great. Top space G is a bit sharp like is typical of this model, but everything else locks right in with little slide pulling. Tuba is a wonderful player with all registers responding easily. It has a bit of a storied past which I'd be happy to share with whoever purchases the tuba.

I normally see these go upwards of $6,000 here and I'm posting this one below used market price at $5200. The price includes a burgundy Cronkhite gig bag. Shipping is possible and the costs go to the buyer. The tuba is currently located in Phoenix, AZ.

Please PM or email me for more information or to make an offer. Pictures can be found by following the link below.

Bump! Had a deal lined up but it fell through over costs of importing to Germany.

My instructor recommended this Tuba to me and I have to say it is very beautiful, my only concern is this size. He was saying something about rudy tubas being bigger than they're classed, just wanted to ask you if this is closer to a full size or a 3/4 size tuba.

Thanks

This is about the same physical size as a Miraphone 186, but it plays and sounds bigger and better, and is much harder to over low. Rudy 3/4's have some magic to them, the few I have tried were all amazing, instant response and a unique and colorful sound.

If you're going to play in a huge group all the time, it might now be my first choice. If you want one tuba to do everything, you cant go wrong.
