FS Conn 52J CC Satin Silver

It pains me greatly to put this tuba up for sale but alas, the time has come. I purchased this tuba from a member of the Marine Corps Band back in 2010. I played the tuba for about 1 year before heading off to college, where the tuba largely sat in my room with minimal use on school breaks. I have since decided that I will not pursue any studies in music, so it is time to sell this baby.
The tuba is amazing - this particular model is especially in high demand due to Conn's decision to discontinue to the 52J model some years back. The sound can only be described as rich and deep, with a very broad range owing to the 4/4 size. The tuba is in excellent condition - all of the valves (4 pistons + 1 rotary) function perfectly and the few dings/repairs (minor dents + cosmetic crease from minor repairs done to the bell) that are standard for any tuba of this age, have no impact on the sound quality produced. Conn 52J's are highly valued for their portability, and mine would come with a soft Altieri travel bag (https://www.altieribags.com/br_tuba.html" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank - a ~$300 value; I can provide photos of the case upon request). This tuba would be perfect for anyone pursuing a degree in music, or is simply ready to take the next step in their tuba playing hobby.
Here are some specifications on the 52J model:
Key of CC
5 valve(4 pistons - 1 rotor)
Graduated bore: .687" (17.46mm) primary bore
.734" (18.65mm) 4th valve
.750" (19.05mm) flat wholestep fifth rotor valve
18" (451mm) bell
Front-action pistons
Top access to all pull slides
Satin silver (rare non-lacquer finish)
Here is a link to a trusted tuba retailer that is selling the same model 52J for $5,995 - http://www.baltimorebrass.net/index.php?cat=5" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank
Here is a similar model (different lacquer finish) that is for sale on CL for $7,000 -

My asking price is $5,000 - I think this is a fair price given what I payed for it and the condition of the tuba currently. I will be more than happy to provide anyone with more details (more photos, details about the tuba's condition, etc.) upon request.
