WTB Conn 24/25J

Post by TUbajohn20J »

Ever since my 20J was stolen a couple years ago I have been missing it like crazy. I'm interested in buying another one but a 4 valve version this time. I really want a front valve version (26J/27J) but obviously those are so rare. I'd be perfectly happy with a top valve. I'd like an upright bell but forward will do just fine. Color doesn't matter. Just as long as its in pretty good shape and plays well. Just testing the waters here to see if anyone has one willing to part with. Thanks

This is a 4 front valve Conn (36J) the size of a 24/25J. It is a very sweet tuba I owned briefly, but wasn't switching back to BBb. If it isn't sold yet, it would be worth looking into:

There were two 36J's on here a while back. (front action normal valves). If I'm remembering correctly they were both around three thousand and in really good shape. The sellers were tubadoctor and lost. If you have trouble finding them and are interested drop me a PM and I'll find the ads for you. Good luck, Ed

My God that's a beautiful horn. I really like short action valves but that's very tempting for sure..thanks!

viewtopic.php?f=4&t=67704" target="_blank. Does not have the short action valves but this would be a great horn. If I had the money I'd buy it. :)

Great horn indeed. Wish I had that extra cash right now. So I'll have to pass on that! Plus I really need the short action. Bump!!

Thanks. Yeah it seemed too good to be true and the price was fair so I definitely couldn't pass it up. Probably a once in a lifetime opportunity finding a 26J. I see you're a Conn man yourself you've got a great lineup there.
