Gorgeous!

What a fine piece of Swiss craftsmanship.
I cringe to think how much one of these would cost brand new these days... but I'm sure it's
far more than the asking price, not to mention the leather Cronkhite and hard case.

Thank you it truly is a beauty. I don't even want to get rid of it! So somebody please buy it before I change my mind! This horn has gotten me through the peak of my playing career and even a performance in Carnegie with the national collegiate wind ensemble. This thing has a crazy good and open low register. I hate to even sell it. But she deserves to be rattling windows on a regular basis not sitting in the corner most days.

Truly a beauty . . . love the original hard cases they come with too, with the wheels and plastic reinforcement for the bell section. That Cronkite is a looker, too!

Is it a Willson-branded case? Who is it made by?

Yes it is a Willson case exactly like jonesbrass described above. The case doesn't say Willson on it though.

The case is made by DEG. I have had one for almost ten years now.

Wow I had no clue Willson supplied their horns with DEG cases. Interesting

Don't mean to disagree with anyone on here, BUT . . . The case pictured is nearly identical to the original I have for my 3050 CC. Inside there is a very small tag that reads "TWW Cases - Costa Rica." There was one recently on sale on eBay. Perhaps DEG had a contract with TWW to supply the original case.

It seems a possibility DEG outsources their stuff. When my first case feel apart. I contacted DEG to discuss the matter. At the time my case was made in the US. But that was 2008, and things do change.

Again, just a beautiful tuba!
Any photos or videos you with it for a sense of scale? These are always bigger than they seem...

I don't even want to guess what that would cost, brand new... well, maybe actually I can. I just updated my insurance policy for my Willson, and the replacement value for it is well more than twice your asking price.
Huge 5-valve BBb tubas are a specialty market, and it will take a unique buyer to really capitalize on this... but if someone has been thinking about buying one of these new (or similar), this is an exceptional deal on a nearly-new tuba.
