FS King detachable bell BBb for sale. Has 2 bells. Pictured with 17 inch bell from a Conn monster Eflat. Also, not pictured King recording bell. Curious, Paul... What's the effect of the smaller bell? That's my one beef with the old 2341, that gigantic pancake bell.

Actually not a huge difference in sound. A little more focus. To be honest, I just happened to have it, so I put a tenon on it and gave it a shot. It worked well. I used it for a while on my rotary CC King. Worked great on that too. It does lower the overall pitch of the horn about 15 cents, but there is plenty of wiggle room. Visually it gives the horn more of an 'orchestral' look. If you're into appearance and 'psycho-acoustics.'
