B&S 5 valves Bb tuba (F. Schmidt) model 3302, 4 pistons + 1 rotary, Progressive bore, 19 inch bell. $4500 OBO
It's in great condition other than a few tiny dings.
Slides and valves are perfect.
Used regularly in orchestra. Great low register.

This is the Bb version of B&S PT20P. Same valve set, bell, slides, progressive bore... just longer. The manufacturer's web description of the 17 inch bell is erroneous for some weird reason. It's absolutely 19 inches.

Vogtländischen Musikinstrumentenfabrik (VMI) has different brand name for their instruments including B&S, VMI, Schmidt, Scherzer and Meister Hans Hoyer.
The name on the bell is the only difference. Made in Germany.

Can be shipped anywhere from Watertown, NY or Kingston, Ontario. I have a Miraphone tuba shipping box.

I have owned my VMI 3302 for 5 years now and it is my go to tuba for most of everything. Whoever buys this horn will not be disappointed.

Top quality horn.
Can't find too many of those 5 valves 3302 Bb.
Solves the problem of the too high 1-4 or too low 1-2-4 bottom Eb with the fifth - 4-5. It really speaks.

I'm bringing this horn to the Us Army Band workshop in Arlington on Jan 31.

It will be at the exhibits today.
