Hello All!
I have decided not to sell by B&S. After playing multiple other horns, nothing matches the sound of mine.
Thanks for the interest!

Thank you so much for all of the interest, I will be responding to everyone individually this afternoon with pictures and recordings.
The horn is located near Orlando Fl but I will be taking it to the army Tuba conference in DC this week.
The lower register has the typical stuffiness on C and B nat but can definitely be figured out. The 5th valve is a flat whole step. I do find myself playing Bnat and GB with 5th valve. Intonation on the horn is good overall and is pretty easily fixed with alternates.
It does play well in the upper register as well. The high F# is a little hard but certainly doable.

Hello RSorenson,
Your tuba was built sometime around ca.1970 with the 1960s style halfround stock nickel silver braces, but with the 70s style valve block. If you have the serial number I could tell you the exact year...
Nice tuba, shame to sell it;)
Best regards from Berlin,

Hello RSorenson,
According to my sources, your tuba was built in February or March of 1978. Interesting to see a late 70s model with the rounded braces, but a collegue who worked at B&S in the 70s told me that the supply of halfround or sheet stock was not always consistent, so there was quite an overlap.
