For sale is a fine example of an Alexander 163 cc tuba. It is in good condition, a few small dents, nothing severe, to be expected for an older horn. I replaced the bottom bow a few years ago after discovering some severe corrosion and cracking. The horn has 4 valves. I purchased it about 9 years ago from J.c Sherman, who in turn purchased it from Craig Knox. It has been a wonderful horn, but I must let it go to fund a new toy for the arsenal.

Price is 4500. I'm fearful of shipping, so I will drive a fair distance to meet a buyer or deliver the horn. Located in Cleveland, Ohio. Any questions, feel free to pm me. Pics forthcoming.

Nice. You can hear Craig and this Alex on the New World Symphony recording that features Copland El Salon Mexico, Danzon Cubano, and others. That recording proves that both Craig and this tuba have a ROCKING low G.
