B&S Symphonie For Sale *Price Reduction*

Post by joshlee »

Hello,

I am selling my B&S Symphonie Model F Tuba. This is a great tuba that can produce a warm singing sound. The horn is stamped "Giardinelli N.Y. 1977". The horn has a great 5th valve kicker that was installed by a previous owner that makes low register intonation a breeze. The horn is unlacquered and has a few cosmetic dings, but is in other wise great condition. The price of the tuba is $5,000. Please PM me for photos. Thanks, Josh

yup...and the second owner was Charles Schulz (Memphis).
You've kept it for quite a while; you obviously like this tuba very much.
And I was the first owner. Bought it while teaching at Louisiana Tech University from Giardinelli. As Bloke indicated, I lived in Mississippi at the time I sold it to Charles Schulz. It was a whale of an instrument. I'd buy it back if I weren't so old.

This is getting a bit silly. $5k for a rotary F tuba of comparable-or-higher quality to anything being currently made? Someone is getting a deal and a half.

A pic of the engraving on the bell and the bell itself would help....
