Up for sale is a stellar 1980s GDR F tuba with some extras for more options in your setup. There are no surprises in how this instrument plays if you've ever played this model tuba of this era. It has a very colorful sound and sings in the high register. Needless to say while very workable, it has the typical German F tuba low C register. Intonation is very good with only a couple alternate fingerings.

Valves 1-4 have been converted to modern linkages. A standard and a larger bore lead pipe are part of the offer. Included also are both flat whole step and the longer 5th valve slides. Comes in a great condition black Cronkite gig bag.

Lacquer is at about 30%. It has a couple of small, purely cosmetic dents (let me know if you need other angles of the horn).

I am selling only because I am more comfortable on pistons. I wish I could afford to keep this one and have a piston F, because lets face it.. they don't make them like this anymore! Don't hesitate to contact me with any inquiries or offers.

Price drop bump!

I learned to play F tuba on one very similar to this from the late 80s. These are excellent tubas and the low range is really quite workable. Great price for a classic horn.
