For Trade: Mirafone C4 *SOLD*

Post by 1ADSarge »

I was going through my storage and sadly didn't find my Megatone mouthpiece I was desperately searching for but I did find my forgotten Mirafone C4. It is in fairly clean shape with a few dings here and there and the backbore is in decent shape. I would like to trade this for something more along the lines of a Megatone mouthpiece...with a deeper cup for the low stuff. I am open to suggestions (will most likely being using it in a 4/4 BBb King). I will get a couple pictures up here in a bit. Thanks!

Cheers,
Jared

Edit: Will also consider a trade deal for a gig bag that will fit a King 1240 (22in. bell if I recall correctly)

Edie2: This mouthpiece has found a new home. Thanks for everyone for the offers!

Congrats on getting a tuba and right idea with the mouthpiece. On a small-ish bore tuba, a deep mouthpiece can more than compensate, with the added advantage that a deep mouthpiece can facilitate the low range (well, eliminate certain types of challenges and bring out the fundamental of all notes.)

Conn Helleberg would be a great starting point, then you can go to the variants if slightly rounded bottom or rounded rim is desired. Easy to acquire, or just go straight to the Miraphone version C6/TU-31 if you already know you like Miraphone rims. A Wick 2L has a really strong tone on .68x bore, medium size instruments, that might be worth checking out on a King.
