I am looking to trade or sell a vintage Conn 46k Sousaphone. This horn is in playing condition. All the slides/valves are working. I bought this from the tubaexchange.com in 2009. If you are interested in a trade I am looking for a CC tuba. I paid $2595 for the instrument in 2009. I have the invoice from tuba exchange available upon request. Don't hesitate to send me your best offer.

Bell Diamater 2ft
Serial #217728.

When I purchased the horn from tubaexchange.com, the model name was described as 46K. I have attached the invoice from tubaexchange.com. I am not personally an expert on Conn sousaphones and their is no model name legible on the tuba.

No problem...if you look around the collars on the bell and body where both connect, there should be a model number engraved.

I have decided to put the horn up for auction on EBAY. Place a bid if interested.

I agree they don't look the same, but you haven't provided any proof or documentation show the model in a photo is a 46K. I am showing documentation from tuba exchange when I purchased the tuba. You have to understand I can't accept the word of people on an internet forum.

And, sadly, you have to understand that on this occasion both you and Tuba Exchange seem to be incorrect.

...and all a disgruntled Ebay buyer has to say is "item not as described" and you are giving a refund and paying for return shipping, or worse.

Ok, well it seems like enough people agree its a 38K. I changed the ebay listing. I have reduced the price to $1400.00 plus $95 shipping if anyone is interested.

Ugh... it's not a 46K!

Here's a 46K:

Does that look like your's in terms of proportion?
I don't think so.
I'm drooling over this picture. Sorry yours is not what you thought you bought. Caveat emptor.
