Rudy Meinl 5/4 CC tuba

Hello,
I am selling my Rudy Meinl 5/4 CC tuba. I acquired it 4 years ago while studying in college. The sound is massive but with a complex color quite similar to a PT-6, except a tad more mellow. Four rotary valves, plus a system that pulls the 1st and 3rd valve pipes all together, that works extremely well. The horn has a very distinct German sound when played forte and louder. The presence of sound is remarkable. Intonation is very good. For big ensembles, this is an ideal horn for a big tuba sound. Smaller ensembles, it's a honker of a horn, but can still sound good with control. Absolutely gorgeous color of sound. Projects like crazy! I love every recording I've heard where the 5/4 Rudy was the horn.
The tuba had a full maintenance visit (chem clean, alignment, corks, etc.) 4 months ago and hasn't been played since then. Everything is moving quickly and silently. Lacquer has been redone 2 years ago but only until the bell begins.
I am only selling because I have another CC and would like to free up funds for a new F.

I am asking $6,000.00CAD for this tuba. I am willing to ship via Greyhound at my own expense in order to reach the buyer. Horn is located in Montreal, Canada.

Thank you!
