Gotta have that 6/4. Conn 25J with slightly honey lacquer and not too much of it lost. Clean leadpipe - very important!
Dents mostly around the top and non-bell side, shown in pics.

Re: "the flat F" - Not a big issue on this one. If you play it like you're trying to get a round sound from a 3/4 tuba it'll flab down but the joy of a massive tuba is it gets the round sound naturally. Bigger intonation issues are the 2nd space C flatness and occasional sharpness in 3rd partial with long valve combinations - same as all tubas, basically.

Re: "can't play soft" - well you can certainly play gently with great results, but it's always going to throw off a lot of low end that's hard to throttle down. If you're not the only tuba player you might consider taking the occasional pianissimo break, if you are the only tuba player that low end is probably welcome.

With decent cases. In Madison WI or can take to Greyhound for you (probably $120)

This is not true if you practice.

Absolutely true, just trying to be earnest and not the typical "best tuba eva" tubenetter review.
Very dark, ambient pianissimos on this one.

Nice looking and sounding old horn. If I didn't already have one I'd be all over it. :)
