I bought too many tubas and need to pare down my little collection. I have a fantastic lacquered five-valve Miraclone CC for sale, Tuba Exchange branded. I've flushed the valves and worked on the slides a bit to remove the grittiness you sometimes encounter with Chinese tubas. That being said, this thing can PLAY. Intonation is spot-on. For those that don't know, this is a copy of the Miraphone 186 CC and is pretty true to its source. Good low range, great high range, intonation is superb.

There are just a couple very small pings in the bell but nothing noticeable. I've worked to tighten the linkage to make it quieter. All slides move freely.

Some interest but no bites. This is a great deal for a student starting in the fall. I will take this instrument to Norm Epley before sale and have him tune up the linkage and do some very minor dent work. Comes with the original hard case and a Yamaha replica mouthpiece that works pretty well with the tuba.

As I said in another topic: horn is in Louisville and I will ship at buyer's expense or drive a fair ways to arrange a sale - say 6ish hours in any direction on interstates 71, 64, or 65. This puts me in range of Chicago, St. Louis, Nashville, Lexington, Huntington, Charleston WV, Cincinnati, Columbus, Cleveland, Indianapolis, Bowling Green (KY and OH!), Memphis, Atlanta, Detroit, Chattanooga, Birmingham... Louisville is very conveniently located right between the South and the Midwest.
