Conn 36J w/Kanstul Bell

The bell - 20 inch Kanstul bell. I know there are some bells that people have not liked the sound quality of, this is not one. The richness and fullness that you can get with this bell is wonderful. The bottom rocks, and the high range sings. I use either a PT-88 or Schilke II depending on what I'm doing. The bell is built for a 2XJ. It does NOT go all the way down, but close. This has not bothered me or my conductor or bone section in the orchestra. It is not 'falling out', but a snug fit. I just have not had the want to start grinding away at the bottom since I knew I might replace the bell completely. Again, I play in some good groups and this has been a great 'Franken-fit'.
I am selling because I have to. I am the guy who had to return the Besson Eflat to its owner when we discovered it was stolen. So now I have no small horn and no money to finish this project. I do want to stress that this is a great, fun horn, but do not expect a point and shoot instrument. It has GREAT potential, but it is what it is.
It is in KC, MO. I will drive a fair distance to not ship. Shipping will be around $150 in two boxes.
