Swiss silver Tuba coins

The Swiss mint recently released a Brass Bands commemorative coin:

http://tinyurl.com/tubacoin

I wanted one, so I bought one, plus some extras since the shipping charges were going to be pretty steep to just buy one coin. I figured they couldn't be too hard to unload here at cost. So... I have 6 coins for sale at a break-even price of $31 each, plus shipping.

By comparison, to buy 1 coin from the Swiss Mint would cost you over $55 (it's 25 CHF per coin plus 30 CHF for shipping [up to 600 CHF], plus whatever international service charges you'd pay with your credit card). In other words, buying 1 coin like that just doesn't make any sense.

They are really cool, IMO, and they are all in (duh...) Mint Condition. :P

- Condition: uncirculated, in plastic wrapper
- Legal face value: 20 Swiss francs
- Alloy: silver 0.835
- Weight: 20 g
- Diameter: 33 mm

Here are a few photos (it's hard to photograph a coin!), but please look at the Swiss Mint website for better photos. The quarter is shown for a size comparison.

All are spoken for... I will update if the 2 on-hold coins become available again.

Thanks, and sorry for all of you who weren't on TubeNet in the past 30 minutes.

I bought one of Bort's coins last year and don't really need it. If someone would like it more than me, I'll sell it to you for $35 shipped (which I believe is what I paid). Just PM me.

I have no plans to order more.

I originally just wanted 1 for myself, but figured with the shipping costs that was a bit ridiculous (For 1 coin, the shipping costs more than the coin itself!). I ordered a handful thinking that at some point, they would eventually sell around here or on eBay, and if not, I'd just keep them for myself. I posted them here at-cost + shipping, and never thought they'd all disappear so quickly!

If I were to order more to sell here, I'd have to raise the price a bit and not sell at-cost -- to make it worthwhile for me to front the money and buy them. If there's a lot of interest, I might consider it.

These coins are still available over here in Switzerland.

They are 32.8mm in diameter and 2.8mm thick.

Just to compare, half dollars are 1.205 inches (30.61 mm) in diameter and .085 inches (2.15 mm) in thickness.
