SOLD! VMI 5198 - piston Neptune

Hi everyone,
I'm selling this very nice (unfortunately for me) piston Neptune that I bought not long ago for a reason that would make some CC players cry... Being a BBb player myself, I've been very frustrated so far trying to find a really good large BBb horn, and even more trying to find a 5-valve instrument. I've then decided to buy a CC horn that has everything I want and have it put down to BBb...
Well it turns out this CC is so fine I would hate to see it butchered and I think someone will be really happy playing it as it is.
It's a BIG horn. I wouldn't say it's a 6/4 even if some say it is; maybe a 5/4 with a 6/4 bell on it. It has a .745 bore but with a 20 1/2 inch bell, with a bell throat I believe is even bigger than that of a 5/4 Rudy. This combination makes it a very agile but huge sounding instrument. Super easy to play in all registers. The high register is especially easy and ringing for an instrument of that size. It has a main tuning slide pull but I found it pretty much in tune without even touching it.
It is gold lacquered, visually a really good looking horn. It does have a few medium size dents and a lacquer bleed spot on the bel rim. I was going to ask 7000$ CND for it but it's hard to find a good shop that will do a full service/cleaning around here so I'm asking 6500$ + shipping so that leaves a good margin to have it serviced by your favorite tech.
