This is truly a one of a kind horn. This was made by several different types of horns and the product is fantastic! If I weren't changing gears in what kind of equipment I want to use I would be keeping this thing, or if money grew on trees.. This has been in my possession for a few months and now that I'm getting back pretty serious into playing I want to change my gear, so I'm offering this wonderful Fraken f tuba up for sale. Low end is like a Yamaha, but the high end is like a B&S. Seriously a versatile horn. I've loved getting back to learning F on it and have done a lot with it in my short time. I've got at least one YouTube video of me playing it and will add it to this as well. Hopefully Tabor will chime in and tell us all of the horns he used. The horn is a euro/York shank. So you'll wanna use a PT or a euro shank piece. I can throw in the mouthpiece I got with the horn since I'll never need it again. I'm asking $3000 OBO for this VERY well made tuba. This would be the perfect horn if you're just learning F tuba. Never got a gig bag, but there is one on Wessex that would fit it well.
https://youtu.be/1-dWjxzs7tQ" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank There is the YouTube video. Haven't watched it in a couple weeks so be kind.
If you want anymore pictures just shoot me a PM and I'll email them to you.
Thanks for looking,
Zac

Could you send some additional pics to
eupho@aol.com" target="_blank? A Mackbrass 540 F is also $3000. Why should one purchase yours over the Mack?

Why make comments like that?

Not intended as a comment, merely an inquiry as to Zach's support of this tuba and his salesmanship. Lot's of people playing Mack Fs, only one of these. Tell me the pluses of this horn.

Thanks for the pics Zac. Interesting looking horn. Do you have more video? Did you use this horn in quintet? I know you were playing a 410 CC in quintet at one point/

I don't have more videos, but if I have time after my community band concert tomorrow I will make another full video demonstrating the horn. I have used the horn in quintet, personally I liked using it more in quintet because it had a nice sound like a Yamaha 822. Great low end, easy to play all the low stuff, but when you needed to maneuver to the mid to high end it was very easy. Easier than a small CC. Also, the $3000 isn't firm. That's the starting price. You can always make me an offer via PM or email.
Hope this helps,
Zac

Video isn't happening today, and probably isn't happening tomorrow. Had a community band concert today, and tomorrow I work 7-3 then I have a quintet gig at seven, so maybe later in the week. Sorry for the delay, but it's a bad time of year. Handy Week here in the Shoals area and I have three performances within a span of like five days. If it doesn't happen this week it will be this weekend at the latest.

That is a rotary tuba made in China, this one is a piston tuba likely not made in China

- the two are very different.

Do you have more video?
Apologies, but I never understand why people ask for this stuff. Its going to sound like a tuba. We're all gonna sound different on the horn. I find it kind of pointless.
Just my 2 cents.
Good luck with your sale.

I want to see a video of the tuba with a copy of today's newspaper.
I don't find the sound of videos particularly helpful, but I do agree that a photo of a tuba on the ground gives no context or scale of the size of it. And although Zac is a good guy and wouldn't lie about it, I can't help but think that a dishonest person could try to sell a broken or misfunctioning tuba and then blame it on shipping or something stupid like that.
Anyway... Bump for Zac. What are the height and bell diameter?

This is as good as it's gonna get until this weekend most likely, but here's another one of my YouTube videos. This one is much better than the first in terms of getting an idea of how the horn sounds in all registers.

Hope this is good enough for now,

Another bump. Working on getting a new F tuba built and need the funds freed up to use on it. $2750 OBO. Make me an offer! I'm pretty free this week so I may make another video of the horn if that will help sell it.

Would you allow a trial period for the purchase of this instrument?
