This is a unique Eb tuba with plucky yet deep tone and nice intonation. Cute as a button too. .687" bore, 20 3/4" recording bell with 5 1/2+" tenon. $750

The 1st valve trigger is awesome and gives you precise corrections to 13 and 123 combinations. The cool pistol grip is included, it's very ergonomic to reach right thru the horn and use. You can even push to fix a flat 4th line F and it returns automatically. False tone are accessible, a bit pithy but you can get by to hit the occassional low note. Realistically, broad phrases around a low Bb aren't going to be that impressive like on any bass tuba.
This could be a very desirable alternative to popular Giant Eb, it's just enough smaller in body to have good intonation. The tenon is 5.5+" as opposed to 6+" on a Giant (assuming Conn 28K is considered equivalent to a Giant). And because it doesn't require a tiny mouthpiece (18 size is fine, PT-82 is really nice even with wrong shank) it could be exceed a Giant. I'd love to see it hotrodded to 4/5 valves and upright bell throat, it just won't be me to do it.
