This horn has been sold.
Hi Everyone,
I'm looking to sell my Miraphone Petruschka F Tuba (4p+1r).
Size: 5/4
Bore: .772-.803-inch Conical
Bell: 16.53-inch
Bell Material: Yellow Brass
Valve Material: Stainless Steel Piston and Brass Rotary
Features: Vented Valves (Only the 4 pistons)
I purchased this horn from WWBW in 2013. It was originally a stage horn for showrooms, but they decided to put it on the market. I am the first owner of this horn.
It is one of the most versatile F tubas I have ever played. I've used it for orchestral playing, solos, quintet, as well as all my college auditions a few years back. The low range is spectacular, including one of the best and easiest low c's that I've played on an F tuba. It is very easy to move around the horn with effortlessness. The reason I'm selling this is because I decided to move to a German rotor horn. I would definitely keep this horn because of its versatility, but unfortunately, I don't have the money.
The horn is in pristine condition. There a few very small dents on the bell, but other than that, the horn looks brand new. I had new felts put on the horn about 6 months ago, and I regularly maintain it to keep it at its to top playing condition.
This tuba comes with an Altieri Gig Bag and an MTS 1205V hard case.
Please don't hesitate to send me a PM or email at cjtorrisi at comcast dot net with any questions! This horn is located in Houston, TX.
PRICE: $7800 plus shipping via Greyhound
