Here's a 4/4 CC that we're just completing and offering for sale. It is, perhaps, the best example of our work to date. It has a 19.5" York bell and bottom bow that was made around 1920. The bore size is .689" (17.5mm). It has the new style large valve buttons and top valve caps. The valves were plated and honed into the casings at Anderson Silver Plating. We've taken pains to preserve as much of the original silver plating as possible which gives the appearance (at least from a short distance) of being a silver plated instrument. Deb still has some polishing up to do which will improve the looks even more than what you see here. The sound is colorful (Yorkish) and the instrument projects very well. Priced at $8000 plus shipping. Contact me via PM or email if seriously interested. Please try not to drool too much over the pict

I'm sure this horn is bigger than the picture makes it look.
Glad you haven't run out of stuff to do...

Actually these 4/4 CCs that we build are quite compact. They measure only about 33" tall.
I have plenty to do. In fact it's been hard to find enough time to build tubas. This horn has taken over a year and a half to finish up, because for the last 4 years I've spent most of my time in my shop at the string repair bench fixing violins, violas, cellos and basses. Hopefully, now that I'm retired from the orchestra playing job, I'll have more time to building tubas. I have a 6/4 Martin 5-valve BBb project in the works and another 4/4 CC started.

How much can one sell a pint of blood for? Now divide $8000 by that..... guess I'll be dead before I can afford it.
