WTT Conn 6/4 trade for cimbasso- great stocking stuffer
Hey,
I'm selling my BBb Conn Grand Orchestral. It's a beautiful huge horn with a massive sound. It plays extremely well, I played it for years in the Georgia Brass Band and recorded our Christmas Cd with it:

The intonation is very good for the style of tuba. The Db below the staff is sharp, but 3rd can be pulled very easily, F below the staff is pretty close, you do need to lip it up a little bit.
The mods have been done by Warren Deck and Matt Walters.
It comes with a gig bag that is in good shape.
Here is a selfie video of me playing Eric Ball's Resurgam with the Georgia Brass Band:

The silver tuba in the pics is a PCK so you can get an idea of how big it is.
The mods include (but not limited to):
Single piece Deck (pre 2165) bell
1-3 all top facing slides
Matt Walters lead pipe
Matt Walters handmade receiver
4th slide cut to get it up to pitch
Mods to fix F below the staff
Saturn water key added to main (to help that F and overall response)
Water keys added on third slide and on the back (no crazy spinning needed to empty horn)
Custom finger buttons
Custom naked lady conn engraving
Probably a whole bunch more, but I can't remember.
I'd rather not ship if possible, I'm in Atlanta. I can take PayPal and credit card payments.
$7,000
UPDATE:
I would consider trades for a cimbasso, depending on the brand it may have to be a cimbasso plus cash or the other way around.

Stunning!
Two questions -- why was the engraving done upside down like that? Also, what is her name?

Robert (Bob) J Sacci
He is a NY/ NJ Tubist.
He was the owner when the bell was changed. 1998 was the year it was done.

Bump for a friend. Bill is a great guy and easy to work with.
I played this last night in a rehearsal, and it blows very freely and makes an enormous, warm sound. I'm surprised to see this still up on the forum!
