FS: Miraphone 1293
Hi all,
For sale is my Miraphone 1293 5/4 CC tuba. I bought this horn 2 years ago, and at the time it was only a year old. It served me well through grad school, but I don't play it much these days. All valves/slides move. About a year ago the horn was dropped and the main tuning slide spit valve was broken off. The horn was brilliantly repaired by Mike Morse at tuba exchange. There is also a dent on the main bow, which is included in the pictures. It doesn't affect the playability of the horn so I haven't gotten around to having it rolled out. Horn is located in Eastern NC, asking $8,000, comes with the standard blue Miraphone top loading bag. Please feel free to pm me here with any questions. Thanks for looking!

Would you ship it to Kansas for a test?

I'd prefer to only ship for a purchase.

I should note that this horn requires a European shank mouthpiece. Also, price is negotiable.

The horn when new came with 2 leadpipes. There are discussions of these and a third leadpipe on the forum. Phil

I was only given the Euro shank leadpipe. The seller I bought it from claimed that it was the only one he had.

Buddhatuba,
I'd love to test it out but I'm in Germany. I will be in Virginia for 6 weeks next summer if you haven't sold it by then.
P.S. I have a Yamaha F 822s I intend to sell, if that interests you at all.

I would love to buy this horn. I have heard great things and it seems to be in good shape. Includes the giga bag, right?

Re: FS: Miraphone 1293
Since I can't play test it, could you record yourself playing some long tones in various registers and some orchestral excerpts? How flexible are you on the price?

Re: FS: Miraphone 1293
I unfortunately don't have the time to do that. I'm somewhat flexible on price though.
Bump!
