Hello again,
My friend is starting to sort through things, and found a couple of chairs (photo of one attached).

Google showed me that new ones are in the $350-$450 range, while used ones appear to sell for around $100. Is that a fair price? If I were to try to sell it here, what information should I provide?
Thanks,
Teri

The chair is complete and look is relatively good shape. A lot of times there are missing or broken parts. The fair price is $75 to $100. There are people who want these chairs. They were common in schools to hold a sousaphone in the band room. The student could crawl in under the horn and the chair would support it when it was played. The hard part is you will likely have to sell this locally. It is hard to ship economically.

If the smallest dimension is 30" or less.... ship it very reasonably via Greyhound. Their limits are 30" x 42" x 84" last time I checked.

Actually I'VE shipped these rather cheaply through the USPS for about $25. Pull the the three stanchions out - tape to the chair and find a box that just fits as these things are tough and don't need any padding materials.
