It is labeled as a Conn International model 2300, made in Germany, serial number 332949. It is a BBb horn, built somewhere around 2001. My research seems to say that it was built by B&S and is identical to the Musica 2300 or the B&S/VMI 101. Someone with more knowledge of the manufacturing will have to confirm that.
The horn is in very good shape, but is in need of a tune up. The only dents are fairly minor ones around the bell. There is some very minor scratching of the finish in a few spots, the worst of which is near the bottom bend. The valves and slides are stiff from the horn sitting entirely unused for the past 6 years. I would be willing to get these cleaned up into full working order before sending it off to the new owner.
Included with the horn will be a B&S 18 mouthpiece and a hard cover wood case with wheels. The mouthpiece is in extremely good shape. The case has some minor damage from being moved around over the years. There are a couple spots of tearing of the vinyl wrap and there is some rust on one of the latches.

A history of this tuba:
I am the original owner. I played tuba in middle school and high school. This instrument was a gift from my father in high school, I can't remember the exact year, but it was roughly 2001. I played it regularly until I graduated. Once I went off to college I had no opportunity to play, so the tuba stayed in it's case at my dad's house in Alaska for over 6 years. After college I moved to the Seattle area, my sister convinced me to briefly join a concert band at the University of Washington. By then the slides and valves had become stuck from neglect, so I took it in to Oberloh Woodwind and Brass Works in Seattle. They cleaned it, freed the seized valves and got it back into playing condition. I ended up only participating in one performance with that UW concert band, and the tuba went back into it's case for the next 6-7 years. For the past several years, my wife has been nagging me to get rid of it. Well, we now have our first child on the way, so I think it is finally time to send this instrument off to someone who will give it the respect it deserves.
