SOLD Meinl-Weston 45SLP F tuba

I have had this F tuba for about 6 years now. The 45SLP has a full, rich sound that I believe sets it apart from other F tubas. The 6/4 size works excellent in an orchestral or chamber music setting. The evenness across the entire range of the horn makes it ideal for solo playing as well. I still have yet to find an f tuba with a better low register. All my professional teachers (Sam Pilafian, Aaron Tindall, Derek Fenstermacher) have played and can vouch for this model. I love this tuba, but I am selling it in search of an F tuba more similar to my C tuba (rotor PT6).
I am asking $6800 for the horn and case. I will entertain trade in offers of other F tubas. The horn is located about an hour outside NYC and I am willing to travel a reasonable distance. Though not preferable, shipping is another option. Feel free to contact me for more information at jz5203@bard.edu" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank
I will be at the second half of the U.S. Army Band Workshop next week if you would like to try it!
Best,
Aidan Zimmermann
