Yamaha 621s F Tuba

Bottom bow and bell have been baked
Second Owner
This horn has such a amazing sound, it slots incredibly well and has a very even timbre through out all registers.
This is one of two horns I won my current job on and it has served me very well, it is a versatile tuba that can be played in all types of groups.

I just had horn serviced two weeks ago, There are two dents that could not be removed. The first is in between the bottom and top bow. I did not want to take the reinforcement plate off to remove the dent, it does not effect the performance of the horn. The second dent on the second valve tuning slide. Both are shown in the drop box link.

There is some silver plating missing on the top bow from normal wear and tear.

Please feel free to PM with any questions you may have.

It will also come with a MTS case and a leather Cronkhite gig bag.

The bell and bottom bow were removed and baked in an oven for a while then allowed to cool in the oven until it reahces room temperature.
This process is suppose to bring more overtones and solidity to the sound of the horn.
I would have to say it worked well for this horn!

It was done in long beach California by Don Sawday. Do not know the particulars of the actual bake.
