Mirafone 188 $6,250 sold!

Post by Matthew Gaunt »

Hi All

An older 188 in very good condition with only a few dings and little bit of lacquer wear. 5th valve is the older/longer 2&3 style. Has new miniball linkages by Lee Stofer a couple years back - very smooth and quiet. Plays very well - more open in low register than some I have played. Typical great intonation. With an altieri bag that needs shoulder strap repair. $6,250 Located in Chicago. If needs to be shipped buyer will have to cover shipping costs.
Pics to come soon, or send me your email address and I can send them that way more quickly...

Reason(s) for selling: Too many cc tubas here, and would prefer the funds over having the tuba here at this point...

Thanks
MG

Besides Matt, I've talked to a few other previous owned of this tuba -- all have said that it is a fantastic tuba.

I'll probably kick myself for (again) not buying it... but these older 188's are just great tubas.
