Hello all,
Swiss Air killed my B&S Symphonie F on the way TO Lyon (yes, I played on a busted instrument throughout the competition), and I am now searching for a new F...so sad expecially because I dropped over $500 at Osmun Music for Jim Becker (who is AMAZING!) to put my B&S in impeccable condition two weeks prior to departing. I have heard incredible reviews about 2 particular instruments...the new Gronitz rotary F's and the new Miraphone F's. I would truly appreciate any feedback on these or other instruments. Thank you all, and I hope ya'll have much better luck flying with your horns than I have the past 3 years...American Airlines had to replace the bell and leadpipe on my Alexander CC about 2 1/2 years ago.

Hey Jobey! Sorry to hear the accident that happen to your horn..

I just bought 2 weeks ago a Gronitz silver pf-125 from Tony Clements in California and I LOVE the horn.. I played this past years a Rudy F, B&S pt-10 and Miraphone 181.. These were very good horn but the Gronitz in my opinion is superior. The response and the intonation are excellent and the low register is just great!! I found that the Gronitz is very comparable to the Yamaha 822 but without the little C tuba sound that you get on the 822..

For me it's the best F tuba ever! I encourage you to try it and to give a call or a email to Tony Clements (Low Brass Werks)! He is a great guy and he was very helpful with me too!

If you have more questions, email me!

Have a good day!
