Selling a Yamaha YCB-621. Have owned since 1998. It even has the old school, super-reliable metal valve guides. Lacquer finish is, IMHO, a 9 out of 10. I had it cleaned and worked on a year ago by Chicago area brass tech Dana Hofer, and I really haven't played it since. It was my go-to quintet, trad, combo, and big band horn for almost 20 years, but I can't justify hanging onto it anymore.
The horn comes with the original Yamaha molded hard case (previous owner affixed cheap little wheels and one broke off; see photo) and extremely well-used but still serviceable Altieri gig bag. I'm asking $2,900.00 for tuba, case, and bag. Horn is located an hour's drive northwest of Chicago. In-person purchase preferred - will drive up to 2 hrs to meet a buyer - but will ship if necessary (solely at buyer's expense).
