Are the specs the same as the C? .705 bore with the small bell.

Since my, er, crash, I've come to love my 184 ensemble horn since I can't really fill my symphony horns any more. No complaints.

Yes, the low range on this tuba can be pretty loud.
A 184 is a popular choice for a solid all around tuba. Actually, the first instrument I ever owned was one of these.

*If the price is $500 - $800 (??) outside your striking range, have a yard sale. I've never had a yard sale where I ended up with less than $500...and for what??...a bunch of stupid crap that was in my house and attic reducing the size of my house!! This (rare and great) tuba is priced "right".
Unless you live in my neighborhood where the covenants you sign when you move in prohibit yard sales. This is apparently becoming more common.

1. I can have it packaged and shipped it anywhere and anyway you want, as long as you are willing to pay for it.
2. If anyone (Monty included) wants the instrument, I'll sell it to who ever comes up with the cash first.
Thanks!!

Wow

Great price. I'm surprised someone hasn't snatched this up yet. I'm resisting adding it to the family, but don't know how much longer I can resist.
