Meinl Weston 45 SLZ F Tuba

Post by dswoboda »

This is a great tuba, with a beautiful sound. It is the "rose color" brass.

6/4 size
5 rotary valves
Bore: .767in; 3rd valve: .807in
4th valve slide graduated bore: .807in - .846in
Bell diameter: 16.5in

I played this instrument in Dallas Brass for 3 years and love it for chamber music and solo. I play a PT 63 mouthpiece with this tuba and it sounds like a million bucks. Intonation is very good...more open in the low register than most F tubas. 4th valve low C is sharp, I finger German style, 125, etc.

$4000 OBO
