I am selling a 4 valve Conn 24J for one of the community bands I play for as a fundraiser. They don't want a bell front horn mixed in the with upright bells in the section. The serial number (8274XX) show the horn to be made near the end on 1959. We had some dents removed from the bows and a new receiver installed. Just needs an upright bell to swap in and out and that would be the dream community band horn. Hate to see it sold just because they don't want a recording bell. I have seen these played with the bell turned sideways and the horn laid down horizontal so the bell points straight up.
