Sold.
Silver Conn 2XJ "Naked Lady" Recording Bell (bell only) with case. $495 OBO plus shipping
This sale is for a bell only, no horn body is included.
The front is shiny silver and the back is more of a satin finish. The bell overall is 8/10 condition-wise. The front and back show moderate scratching and dings, with some moderate to heavy scrapes/scratches inside beyond the bell flare (not that visible unless you're very close). There is some evidence of past repairs.
The bell rim and flange/connector are straight, true and in-round. I only cleaned the bell up with glass cleaner, not silver polish, so you might pick up some more shininess if you polish it - I like the aged patina. And who doesn't like naked ladies?
All in all, for an older bell like this, the condition is good and it looks nice from audience or conductor perspective. I could not find a serial number on this bell, so we'll have to rely on the TNFJ for age guesstimates if needed. I acquired this bell from a fellow TubeNetter who bought it from Lee Stofer.
Includes non-original case in 8.5/10 condition. The only condition issue other than normal wear is a scrape on one of the edges - I'll tape that up before shipping.
This bell is located in Tucson, AZ 85745. $495 OBO plus $75 Greyhound shipping. More pictures at https://goo.gl/photos/DonMfZMrx61D3uZU6
