FS: Meinl Weston 2260RA "W. Brandstotter" F Tuba $12,000

Hello! I want to sell my 2260RA F tuba. I purchased this horn in 2015 and I am the second owner.

The tuba is 6/4 size with 6 rotary valves; 5th and 6th valve inside of the 4th valve slide. It is excellent condition with two minor blemishes on the top side of the bell and the bottom bow.

It plays even throughout the registers. It works great as a solo and orchestral horn with a bit darker sound. I highly recommend this horn to anyone looking for a F tuba.

I am located in NYC. I'm okay with shipping as I've had good experiences with services like uShip but the cost will fall onto the one purchasing the tuba.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

It looks like 5th/6th are removable as a single unit and a spacer can be inserted if you want to go without them. Is that the case?
In the multiverse there is a TubeNet where we talk about how we greased our cat with toothpaste and hot sauce so it would fly better in the rain. Even then someone would ask whether the cat was lacquered or silver plated.

Gator:

Hello, I'm located in NYC. Thanks for the heads up. I'll update the OP.

the elephant:

I'm not entirely sure. I never even considered it. I can post some better/closer pictures if that would help you.

If this is the MW2260RA that was in the Buffet showroom in NYC back in 2013, it's an EXCELLENT horn!! I played on it for almost 2 hours and loved it!! Excellent low register, beautiful color, excellent pitch.
