This is a wonderful instrument. I used it in the New World Symphony in the mid-90's. It's a typical Alex, it has an amazing and unique sound, but you need to use alternate fingerings. A 2nd valve tuning slide was added and is easily accessible with the left hand.

I would normally ask $6000 for this, but the case is not in good shape, so I'm asking $5000. The instrument is currently in Orlando, FL.

Yes - it’s for the 2nd valve. Very easy to access.

I should have also mentioned this comes with a gig bag and mute.
