FS: Conn 28K Sousaphone - sold

Post by opus37 »

For sale is a Conn 28K Eb sousaphone. The 28K is a 4 valve model. This one is in brushed silver, gold brass trim and polished silver bell interior. There are no dents. Valves are in great shape. It comes with 2 necks and 2 tuning bits (no mouthpiece). The serial number dates the horn to the early 1930's. I do not have a case for this horn, but I do have a stand chair which I will sell with the horn (for a slightly higher price). The finish is about 90%. There are some worn spots, it is in good shape and plays wonderfully. It does need a good polishing. I'm asking $1800 for the horn (shipping not included). I will supply pictures on request (my avitar shows one view of the horn). I will ship it, but packaging could be a bit pricy because I will have to build a container for it. I will not ship internationally (way too much hassle and extremely expensive). I obviously would prefer local pick up. It is located in Woodbury, MN (near St. Paul). For those curious, I'm selling this horn because it doesn't get used much. I am culling the herd and this one is next on the block to go.

This sousaphone is sold.

Bump for the weekend. I will entertain reasonable offers for this great horn. The tuba chair is a wenger chair in great shape.
