Miraphone 184, Short Bell, $3500

Served me well--thinning the "heard"!
Mr. Dave Fedderly's custom practice tuba in CC.
Miraphone 184, Short Bell, 5 valves (2+3 combo), and Denis Wick euphonium mute.
No case. $3500. Located near Joliet, Illinois (extream Southwest 'burbs of Chicago).
I have used this instrument very successfully as a practice instrument with the mute in the basement of my home while the rest of the family is sleeping--without complaint nor waking them up! Not a beauty contest winner (see pic of leadpipe area), but does the job extremely well.
The bell was made for Mr. Fedderly in Germany along with an extra long leadpipe to compensate for the shortening of the bell--plays in-tune.
Bass Euphonium sound, possible cimbasso-esque timbre... I've never used it in performance.
Willing to drive a few hours from Chicago for mutual benefit.
