Congrats. Your description of the 186 sounds a lot like my 1967 186. I cant wait to see what you do with it.

Wade, it sounds a lot like a tuba I borrowed from someone here in Austin who owns a lot of tubas. I wanted to buy it, but he wasn't selling. I did end up with a 1965, 186 5U CC and it has that wonderful vintage Miraphone sound. Good luck with yours.
